IDC Youth Fellowship

IDC JKUAT Youth fellowship is a diverse congregation within the larger IDC JKUAT Church, comprising enthusiastic and passionate individuals primarily aged between 18 and 35, who come together to worship, learn and serve. “Letting our light shine bright” is our slogan which we strive to practice day in day out in the different spheres of life God has graced us to be.

Founded on the principles of faith, fellowship and service, this community provides a nurturing environment where young minds can explore and deepen their spiritual journey while engaging in meaningful service to both the church and the wider community. Our vision is to ("To be a light in the world, reflecting Christ's love and truth in all we do." (Matthew 5:16)

Growth in Faith

Over the years the fellowship has not only continued to grow in numbers but also in matters faith. There has been tremendous growth in every individual’s spiritual walk with God, their commitment to service and the bond in the fellowship which keeps growing stronger day by day. Accountability is a key pillar in the fellowship which has fostered meaningful friendships among the youths.

Not forsaking the meeting of brethren as the writer of Hebrews exhorts us is what we campaign for. We do this through engaging in a myriad of activities that bring us together oftenly where we get to learn from God, His word and from each other. These activities include;

• Weekly Wednesday corporate prayers which happen at CCI Joy Family Church where we get to commune with God.

• Weekly Friday Bible Studies which happen at JKUAT Staff Quarters, House No 53D where we engage in enriching Bible discussions that nurture our spiritual growth and deepen our connection with God and one another.
• Monthly youth fellowships which happen at SCC 100 where we get enlightened in different spiritual topics that are integral in our Christian journey.

Apart from the normal fellowships,

we also take part in mission activities like Children’s home visits, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and door to door evangelism which play a key role in enhancing our spiritual growth. We also participate in social retreats, prayer retreats, cookouts and prayer Kesha’s that enhance our walk with God and help in fostering meaningful friendships.

We are still growing as a fellowship as we hope to continue being believers that make a difference. As we anticipate for the future, we move forward, strengthened in our commitment to continue nurturing our faith, building meaningful relationships and serving our community with unwavering dedication and joy.
