John is a Bachelor of Commerce (Insurance) graduate from the University of Nairobi and also holds a Diploma from Chartered Insurance Institute, London (CII). He has also attended various trainings, seminars and workshops on risk, insurance, management and leadership.

He has extensive knowledge and experience in Risk, Insurance and Employee benefits gained from many years of working in different organizations in the insurance industry. He has previously worked with Lion of Kenya Insurance Co. Limited now ICEA LION General Insurance Co. Limited, Equity Bank Limited, AON Kenya Insurance Brokers  Limited and Eagle Africa Insurance Brokers (K) Limited.
